Bird watching in Khao Sok National Park
Khao Sok is famous for its wildlife. Especially a large variety of birds can be found here. For example: Sunbirds, chesnut- headed Bee eater, comon kingfisher, Olive Rudy kingfisher, Osprey Eagle, Brahminy Kite, Great Hornbill and much more.
We offer various tours from half day bird watching tours to 4 days 3 nights bird watching tours. We will take you up in the National park and on the magnificient Cheow Lan Lake, into the rivers that stream into the Lake. You can spot many birds there and also other wildlife like monkeys, gibbons and, if lucky, elephants and snakes.
What birds will you see ? You will see Sunbirds, Eagles, etc..
Is it far? In Thailand, like in nearly any other country, the rainforest, forests, jungle are disappearing. Wildlife, incuding birds, will go deeper into the (rain)forest or what is left of it. So, yes, sometimes we must go deep into the jungle to spot that rare bird. But also, sometimes you can see just that amazing bird in our resort garden.
We take you about 4 to 5 hours up into the jungle. The way to many spots for bird watching in Khao Sok can only be reached by walking, but the way to the walking points we can reach by (off-road) truck. Khao sok tree house resort is very close to khao sok national park entrance: about 800 meter from tree house to the park

- Sport shoes or hiking shoes
- Swimming suit
- Mosquito repellent
- Sun hat
- Sun cream
- Small towel
- Camera (a good one, with loads of zoom, or a large zoom lens)
